ADAMAWA STATE MCRP HANDS OVER NEWLY PROCURED OFFICE EQUIPMENT TO DEPARTMENT OF COOPERATIVE UNDER THE MINISTRY OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The Adamawa State Multiple Sectoral Crisis  Recovery Project (MCRP) has handed over to the Department of Cooperative under the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development, newly procured modern Office Equipment worth Fifty Seven Million Naira.

Donated State of the art Office Equipments which included: Laptops, Desktops Computers, Printers, Canon Cameras, Wall Air Conditioning System, Puplic Address Systems, White Board and Markers, Projectors and projection screen, Table Printers, UPS Voltage Regulator, Steel File Cabinet among others. MCRP also designed a website and Installed Internet Facility with one year subscriptions fully paid to Cooperative Department of the Adamawa State Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development as part of efforts to digitize and upgrade the Administration of the Adamawa State Cooperative Activities.

The handing over of the Modern Office Equipment took place in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development by both teams from MCRP and Entrepreneurship Development, witnessed the success of the official event on  Friday, 24 November, 2023.

While receiving the Equipment, the Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development on behalf of Adamawa State Government has commended the effort of Multiple Sectoral Recovery Project (MCRP), nothing that the office have done something that has never been done in the history of Cooperative Department under the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development.

 Honourable Iliya James, assured them on effective and good service delivery use of the equipment, he described the gesture has one in a  million in the lives of Cooperative  Societies in the state, according to him the Ministry have 5 zonal Offices, 21 Area Cooperatives and the headquarter  which is in the State Capital.

 He assured (MCRP) of standard digitalizing the Cooperative this time, saying it would also be an avenue where entrepreneurs will know what Cooperative entails, area officers can equally access, register and send list digitally not the manual way again.

Honourable James, noted that the equipment will help and enable the Cooperative to be Productive and Viable in the state, nothing that Cooperative in every Developed Society serves as the engine growth of the economy he assured them of maximum cooperation.

 Mr. Julius Mbidomti technical coordinator specialist, Multi Sectoral Recovery Project (MCRP)  Adamawa State, during the presentation of the Equipment to the Hon. Commissioner of Entrepreneurship Development Iliya James, he said the MCRP has with the consent of the Ministry successfully conducted needs assessment on the Adamawa Department of Cooperative Administration System with a view to improving the system for effecient and effective service delivery.

 Julius said, the aim is to identified gaps and ways of improving and transforming the Adminitrative structures of personal for efficient service delivery and to strengthen their capacities by providing mordern office equipment and train  them on the use of the Equipment.

Amina Bashir Tukur the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development, thanked the MCRP Adamawa State for the support and making it a reality. On behalf of the Ministry under the leadership of the Hon.  Commissioner James Iliya, "the Ministry appreciates and promise to keep a good working relationship, engage in team work to have a good result at the end."
